The first night of Terrorvision’s 2025 UK “We Are Not Roberts” tour saw them play to a sold-out show at the Sheffield Corporation.
Scarlet Rebels opened proceedings and went down a storm, hailing from Wales and formed in 2018 they were a great choice of band to get the crowd warm and ready with their great tunes of melodic rock.
And then needing no introduction the mighty Terrorvision took to the stage, I had a quick count of members and their headcount is 7, which given the size of the stage I wondered how they would all fit. But fit on they did and like a well-oiled machine they treated us to a great 90 minutes of tunes spanning all of their career.

Having first seen them live back in the 90’s I have been a fan ever since, and tonight having my son by my side to photograph them was a wonderful experience, and I was not alone in adults bringing their children. At least 20 other teenagers were in attendance, and it was great to see. I would describe the music of Terrorvision as being timeless and fun, with a great appeal when you add in a couple of brass instruments and keyboards there is something for everyone.

At this point I must tip my ageing hat to Tony Wright, who at several years older than me still makes me feel tired just watching him command the stage, bouncing up and down and encouraging the crowd at every moment possible. Mark Yates is a great guitarist with great rock moves and with Leigh Marklew providing bass, keeping everyone in beat on drums is Chris Bussey, keyboards is Milley Evans and with Nick Hughes and Liz Mitchell on Trumpet and Saxophone respectively it all adds up to a great party atmosphere.

The set tonight included 20 plus songs and the highlights for me were “Alice What’s the Matter” with its usual crowd participation, “If I Was You” and their first single from their latest album “The Night That Lemmy Died”. So many hits sandwiched in between and they finish with “Celebrity Hit List”, “Pretend Best Friend” and everyones favourite “Oblivion”
And like that with a huge smile on everyone’s face their show time is over, show 1 of the tour done. Catch them if you can on this tour, and you won’t regret it, whichever year they came into your life they have it covered with songs you still know the words to, so sing, smile and be happy!
