London’s Camden Underworld buzzed with excitement as metal enthusiasts gathered for the launch of Dendera’s second full-length album, “The Mask Of Lies.” The heart of London was alive with energy on this lovely evening, and the iconic venue was the perfect setting for what turned out to be an unforgettable night. This was a first visit to the town of Rotherham for the mighty Scottish icons the Skids lead by the charismatic legend Richard Jobson.
Formed in the late 70s in the mining town of Dunfermline the Skids hit the punk scene with explosive anthems like Charade Masquerade Into the Valley and The Saints Are Coming. As with all bands it came to an end after a few years and the members went their separate ways with Jobson forming the Armoury Show and the late great Stuart Adamson heading the brilliant Big Country.
