After a cancelled Bulgarian ski trip last December due to a lack of snow, we made it to the resort of Jahorina in Bosnia during the Easter holiday. A bit apprehensive seeing as their ski season shut down 48 hours before we landed and looking at the resort webcams which did show some snow on the slopes, there was plenty of green and brown to be seen too. But what an excellent week we had!

What started out as being in France for 12 hours with the family for valentines day, 4 days before went through a change and ended up as 50 hours and 842 miles and going to Disneyland Paris.

Today we had our 3 hour trip to the airport to complete and Mum and Dad had arranged for us to be picked up 3 hours earlier so we could break up the journey and also be shown some sites on route. As we had only been in the villa we didn’t know what to expect. Firstly though we said goodbye to our villa and staff which was strange as they all lined up to wave us off, but a nice experience. Dad here – in a change to our original schedule as Japan is still not letting normal visitors in yet, we switched across to Bali, as quite a few people we met in Australia commented that this was the goto place from Australia for its beauty and value for money. Our final day today, we were out and about by 10am. First stop was the Australian Armour & Artillery Museum the museum was in a huge purpose built hanger with lots of army vehicles from all over the world. Click to read more

Today we were all excited as we were told our destination was the Great Barrier Reef, Green Island with Great Adventures. We had all been before to this island but due to our age, we had been restricted in what we could do. Click to read more

Today we went up to Kuranda to explore the town that is built in the rainforest, but you can visit by road, train, and cable car. We choose to drive up and stop off at a couple of locations before reaching the town. We were then to have some lunch before visiting the butterfly sanctuary before coming down the mountain in the Skyrail. Click here to read more

Today we finally got to go into our Motel’s pool this morning and, what a good time we had. We were only going to have an hour there…..3 hours later even though the water was cold we stopped for lunch! Click to read more

To start we picked up our Australian friends from their motor home park so we could all travel together up the coast to Cape Tribulation. We were told we were going to have a couple of stops along the way and lunch at the furthest point North before you needed a proper 4×4 to continue the journey. Click to read more
