No Matthew sadly as it’s an over-18s venue, so my (Dad’s) words and photos by the brilliant Linda McDermott for Jace Media Music. Click here for the full review and all the photos.

On the MSC Preziosa – A Family Adventure
Hello, everyone! It’s the Little Rockers here, back to share our latest adventure—a fantastic cruise around Northern Europe on the MSC Preziosa! This was a special trip for us because we’re ticking off Europe as part of our epic year-long challenge to visit all seven continents for Dad’s 50th birthday. Here’s a peek into what we got up to! Our first time together at The Drill in Lincoln on a school night was nothing short of memorable! Seeing two of Matthew’s teachers in the crowd added a touch of recognition to his work and earned him a couple of high-fives the next day—a nice bonus to an already incredible night! Saturday 31st August saw me visiting family in Southampton and my Dad had purchased a ticket to see one of his favourite bands Ugly Kid Joe at the Southampton 1865, a venue I had shot in before and have always made to feel welcome for someone so young. To read more click here

After a weekend at the Stonedead Festival with Matthew working as part of the official Stonedead photographers and myself (Dad) volunteering for the media team, we set off early on Sunday for a two-and-a-half journey to Cheshire and I am so glad we did an afternoon and evening of great music and company! Going to let the photos do the talking click for photos

As ever a pleasure to cover this event. This year Matthew was part of the press team and I volunteered too. It was a great couple of days. Click here to access the photos.

Bringing back so many memories watching the Quireboys, a great frontman (Spike) backed up by an impressive band, and Matthew made it on stage to capture the moment too! Click Here For More Photos

London’s Camden Underworld buzzed with excitement as metal enthusiasts gathered for the launch of Dendera’s second full-length album, “The Mask Of Lies.” The heart of London was alive with energy on this lovely evening, and the iconic venue was the perfect setting for what turned out to be an unforgettable night. This was a first visit to the town of Rotherham for the mighty Scottish icons the Skids lead by the charismatic legend Richard Jobson.
Formed in the late 70s in the mining town of Dunfermline the Skids hit the punk scene with explosive anthems like Charade Masquerade Into the Valley and The Saints Are Coming. As with all bands it came to an end after a few years and the members went their separate ways with Jobson forming the Armoury Show and the late great Stuart Adamson heading the brilliant Big Country. With just over a week to go before we return for our 3rd year at the event, I just wanted to highlight what you get as a family.
Everything is within eyesight, stages, food vendors, sellers, games, the bar and toilets. Being a parent of 4 and having taken my children to Download (and lost 1 a couple of times) I cannot stress enough how great the layout is.
With both parents and children alike being able to enjoy the event with camping available starting 10 meters from the arena entrance and the car park a further 15 meters from the campsite, it is the best.
