Mum was very excited when we landed in Brisbane as she loves Queensland, mainly as the climate is a lot warmer and more like our usual sun holidays. At the weekend children can visit the Zoo for Free! Guess what Mum and dad said we were going? Adults were £24.16 each in advance and parking was £2.20 for upto 5 hours! We were in car park 5 so quite popular, but still only a 5-minute walk away. Click here to read more

Today we were meant to go to the Melbournes Sealife centre, but on driving past the queues were out the door. A quick look at the app and you can see from the booking system which they still use to limit people in one place at the same time due to Covid when the busy time is, oh and it’s a Sunday. Today we had tickets brought for us to attend the Lego Discovery Centre in the Chadstone shopping centre, Melbourne. The shopping centre was amazing and very posh. The Lego element was on the top floor which also had a cinema. Click here to read more

Seen as the weather forecast didn’t show rain and more importantly some sunshine, this was the day to hit the coast, and using Tripadvisor we found out about Beach Road, a 27km road running as you would imagine along the coast at Melbourne. Click here to read more

Flying into Melbourne in the daylight we were amazed at the size of the place from the air, although the plane had to fly past the whole city and the airport, to turn back to get onto the flight path, so we literally did see out the window for quite some time. Click here to read more

An early taxi journey to the airport left us with plenty of time before our flight and this was made slightly longer with a further 1 hour delay. Click here to read more

In the morning we set off at 8 am so we could make the most of our limited time here. We saw 5 vehicles on the 40 minute drive to the resort, which was 4 more than we saw the previous night. We thought we would stop off in the resort and get a light breakfast, we found the local supermarket didn’t open until 10 am! Click here to read more
