The second day of our trip started off a little later than planned after a layin! We all slept well in 2 different rooms, given the choices of hotels offering 6 people per room versus cost (and Dad’s tightness) anything other than 2 rooms was a no-go. But to be honest the Premier Inn was brilliant (£347.92 for 3 nights x2 rooms including breakfast!). Like in the UK only adults pay for breakfast and the children eat free. Breakfast was very good and there were lots of choices, due to local beliefs I think it’s the first time we have had chicken sausages and beef bacon……not bad. Click here to read more

Alexander (6 years old):
The best part of Call of the Wild 2022 was spending time with Daddy. I also enjoyed the food and drink. The sweet selection was awesome and I had a big, ginormous lolly! I had cans of 7up and coke, as well as donuts – they were especially yummy. We also had burgers and noodles. The area for food was nice and had chairs to sit on and enjoy a cheeky nap! So after a 3-year delay, the festival returned to the Lincolnshire Showground!
I arrived on my own, (children still at school) in the early afternoon and parked my car, checked in, and walked to the campsite to claim tent space. Everyone working for the festival was great and very helpful, and the campers were also a cheerful bunch. Getting to this point was easy and it only took 10 minutes….setting the tent, was slightly longer! Click here to read more
